In what was our biggest project to date, The Hermes Experiment presented our new interpretation of Shakespeare’s ‘The Winter’s Tale’ last Tuesday 13th December at The Cockpit Theatre in Marylebone. After hours, days and weeks of hard work it was all over very quickly! But what an incredible creative process to be a part of! It was my first intensive project with actors and a director, and I can honestly say I have learnt a great deal (not least an even greater respect for their art!). It was at times overwhelming, often outside my comfort zone, but always inspiring and challenging! I don’t think ‘performance’ will ever be quite the same again!

I feel very lucky to have been a part of it, and we are very grateful for the support of Aldeburgh Music, Arts Council England, the RVW Trust, the Hinrichsen Foundation and Britten-Pears Foundation.

There is a summary of the reviews that we received in a blog post on The Hermes Experiment’s website. Click here to have a look.

Here’s hoping we are able to perform it again in the not too distant future!
