On the 8th August I will be presenting a programme of British contemporary works for solo harp at the Third Thailand International Harp Festival and Youth Competition in Bangkok. I am sharing this evening recital with Claudia Lamanna, winner of the 2012 competition.
My programme has now been confirmed and will be as follows:
Gareth Glyn – ‘Erddigan’ (from the ‘Living Harp’ Collection)
John Metcalf – ‘Dance from Kafka’s Chimp’ (from the ‘Living Harp’ Collection)
Dalwyn Henshall – ‘Three Welsh Dances’ (from the ‘Living Harp’ Collection)
Grace Williams – ‘Hiraeth’
William Cole – ‘Her Face Was Full of Woe’
Sally Beamish – ‘Awuya’
I am delighted to have been asked to perform at the festival and am very excited to be traveling to Thailand – a first for me!
