Late last week, The Hermes Experiment launched its 2014-15 season programme – it is set to be an intensive and fruitful year! Our five main concerts are focused on particular themes, starting with ‘Inspired by Bach’ in early September. All the concerts comprise our usual combination of new commissions, arrangements and free improvisation. We are also exploring a new compositional process for this next season, whereby we as a quartet create our own piece based on given motifs (in both the ‘Inspired by Bach’ and ‘Rhythm’ concerts).
