I am delighted to have been elected Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM)!
‘Associateship is awarded to alumni of the Academy who have distinguished themselves in the music profession and made a significant contribution in their particular field.’
This is a photo from my Master’s graduation from the Academy back in the summer of 2015. So much has happened since then! I feel so grateful to be able to work in the music industry – my dream since I was 13 years old – and it is only a reality because of all the support (of all types!) I have received right from my musical beginning.
The Academy is a place that challenged me to reach higher, inspired me to look wider, and facilitated some of the most formative experiences of my musical studies, both during my Gap Year (2009-2010) and my Master’s degree (2013-2015). Special mention has to go to the incredible Academy harp department and especially to my teacher whilst at the RAM, Karen Vaughan, whose guidance, wisdom and care have contributed an incalculable amount to my life and career.
I am so grateful to this wonderful institution for everything that it has contributed, and continues to contribute, to my life.
