I am delighted that I have been appointed as Principal Harpist with the Welsh chamber music organisation Ensemble Cymru, and am also the first recipient of the ensemble’s Gaynor Cemlyn-Jones International Chair for Harp.

Over the next two years I will be working with the ensemble, contributing through both planning and performance towards featuring the harp in the ensemble’s programming. This is a very exciting and formative opportunity for me, for which I am extremely grateful. It is also a wonderful opportunity for the harp as an instrument to be featured in the world of chamber music.

I am currently two days in to my inaugural tour with Ensemble Cymru in my new role, with five performances remaining this week across North Wales, in addition to further performances in schools and hospitals, and an eighth performance in Aberystwyth at the end of the month – all details are on the Ensemble Cymru website. You can also find out more about the ensemble here, including their mission to bring high quality, engaging chamber music to rural communities across Wales.

There is also an article about my appointment on Ensemble Cymru’s website: click here to read in English, or here to read in Welsh.
